I’ve been hopping from deadline to deadline — I guess that’s summer in the arts. The next one is the Sooke Fine Arts Show, a juried show that is a popular destination every summer for art-lovers. I had a piece in the show, The Camisole, back in 2004. The trouble is, the submissions have to be unshown pieces. Very tricky when one presently has a show in town, and everything recent is hanging in full view. So, I’ve started two new ones in the last week. I hope I can get them done in time. The Sooke show frowns upon entries that are still wet!
These paintings are presently in my show, Playground, at Dales Gallery. They are large, 3 feet square. The rest are now on my website.
And regarding the last post, the Bird painting raised $2000 at auction for A Loving Spoonful! I’m very proud of this.
